Current position: Jean Monnet Chair ad personam “European Culture” (since 2003) and Universidad de Piura, Peru: Director, Cultural Centre of the University in Lima (2013-), Director, Institute for European Studies (2013-), Adviser and Professor, Faculty for Humanities (2013-).
Previous positions: Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (Barcelona): Dean of the Faculty for Humanities (2009-2012), Director of the Master’s Degree in Cultural Management (2007-2013), Director of the Institute for European Studies (2007-2013) and Universidad de Navarra: Director of the Centre for European Studies (1996-2008), Director of the European Documentation Centre (1991-2008), Deputy Director of the Department of Humanities (1998-2006), President of the Conferences “European Culture” (1990-2007), Lecturer for Comparative Literature, Cultural Studies, History of the European Integration (1988-2007). Previously: lecturer at the Universities of Aachen, Cologne, Bonn, and Paderborn.
